Savannah- Donald E. Focht, 87, passed away on July 26, 2012 at The Oaks of The Marshes surrounded by his wife and children.
He was born July 17, 1925 in Eaton, Ohio and was a proud Buckeye graduate of Ohio State University. He served in both WWII and the Korean War as a navigator in the Air Force. He was a sales executive. After raising his family in Atlanta, GA, he and his wife Judith lived in Belgium for 6 years before happily retiring to The Landings on Skidaway Island, Savannah where he took great pleasure in his love of golf and time spent with his beloved wife, Judith.
He is remembered by friends and family for his quick smile, kind spirit and interest in others. He is also remembered for his utter devotion to the love of his life, Judith, his wife of 63 years.
He is survived by his wife Judith D. Focht, his children Kimberly S. Focht, Thomas J. Focht and wife Lia, his grandchildren Elizabeth, Lindsay, Denver and Landon Focht and his sister Doris Ann Sadler.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
